Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja Champions Ethical, Citizen-Centric Governance at Collectors Conference

Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja underscored the importance of ethical and citizen-centric governance while chairing the second session of the 2-Day Collectors and SPs Conference.

Addressing senior administrative officers, Ahuja emphasised that citizens are the state’s most valuable assets and that their dignity must remain at the core of all administrative actions.

The session highlighted strict adherence to the Odisha Right to Public Service Act (ORTPSA) timelines, saturation of individual entitlements, accelerated coverage under welfare schemes, creation of durable community assets, and the implementation of faceless administration for transparent and hassle-free service delivery.

Additional Chief Secretary Surendra Kumar delivered the welcome address, while Vineet Bharadwaj, Director of Drinking Water and Sanitation, joined the discussions.

Collectors from Deogarh, Khurda, Ganjam, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj presented innovative schemes and simplified methods to strengthen faceless governance.

The conference reinforced Odisha’s commitment to building a governance framework that prioritises transparency, efficiency, and citizen dignity.
