In a determined effort to position Odisha as a leading industrial hub, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi undertook a strategic two-day visit to New Delhi.
This visit resulted in significant developments, securing investments worth ₹30,595 crore and creating opportunities for approximately 48,390 jobs.
On the first day, the Chief Minister met with industry leaders at the company’s Mega IT Campus in Noida, including HCL Technologies Chairperson Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra. The discussions focused on expanding HCL’s presence in Odisha and exploring innovations in AI, IoT, and other IT advancements.
Subsequent one-on-one meetings with executives from leading companies such as Kiri Industries, Himadri Specialty Chemicals Ltd., and Ruchi Soya Foods Ltd. led to the expression of investment intents totalling ₹3,000 crore and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) valued at ₹27,595 crores.
The second day is expected to be equally eventful. It will feature the signing of key MoUs with IOCL, ISPRL, and Petronet LNG for transformative projects in the petrochemical sector. These initiatives reinforce Odisha’s commitment to fostering industrial growth and building a technology-driven economy.
The visit highlights Odisha’s proactive industrial policies and dedication to youth employment and sustainable development.
