Odisha Charts New Maritime Future: Paradip Port Expansion Reviewed
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg visited the Paradip Port Authority (PPA) administrative building to review ongoing and upcoming development projects.
PPA Chairman P. L. Haranadh briefed her on infrastructure upgrades and technological advancements aimed at strengthening the state’s maritime economy.
Key projects discussed included the proposed Bahuda Satellite Port, the upcoming Puri Cruise Terminal to boost coastal tourism, and a shipbuilding cluster at Kendrapara designed to generate employment and industrial growth.
The Chief Secretary expressed satisfaction with Paradip Port’s cargo expansion and emphasised the government’s commitment to positioning the port as a hub for industry, tourism, and shipbuilding.
Deputy Chairman T. Venu Gopal and senior officials of PPA also attended the review meeting.
