Odisha CEO Warns Against Fake Electoral Website Ahead of Voter Roll Revision
The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha has issued a public advisory cautioning citizens about a fraudulent website impersonating the official electoral portal.
The fake domain, www.ceoodisha.com, has been spreading misleading information and attempting to mislead voters.
Officials clarified that the only authentic website for electoral services is https://ceoodisha.nic.in.
The warning comes at a crucial time, just before the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll 2026, which ensures accuracy in voter lists.
Authorities stressed that misinformation could disrupt the revision process and confuse citizens.
Voters, media outlets, and stakeholders have been urged to rely solely on the official site for voter verification, applications, and updates. Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the CEO’s office.
This advisory highlights the growing threat of digital impersonation and reinforces the importance of verifying official sources during election processes.
