Odisha CEO Details Voter List Mapping for SIR‑2026

Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India has directed that the 2002 voter list will serve as the baseline for mapping with the 2025 rolls ahead of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)‑2026 program.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) R S Gopalan explained that the exercise aims to ensure error‑free and comprehensive electoral rolls.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will assist voters in verifying details such as names, relatives’ names, age or date of birth, polling station, part number, and EPIC card information.

Voters can cross‑check their records through the ECINET portal, Voter Services Portal, CEO Odisha website, and ECINET mobile app.

Importantly, Aadhaar or other documents are not required for this mapping.

If a voter’s name is missing from the 2002 list, officials will rely on parents’ or grandparents’ details for verification.

The mapping also incorporates the 2005 voter list, reinforcing the Commission’s commitment to transparency.

Additional CEO Sushant Kumar Mishra, Joint CEO Gopinath Kuanr, and Deputy CEO Dr Laxmi Prasad Sahu joined the briefing, underscoring the importance of updated rolls for free and fair elections.
