Odisha cancels OSSSC main exam after court intervenes over malpractice charges
Bhubaneswar, July 31 (UNI) Malpractices in the preliminary examination for the posts of revenue inspector, Integrated Child Development Scheme supervisor, assistant revenue inspector and Amin and Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS) conducted by government-run Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) have prompted the state government to cancel the main exam following the intervention of the High Court.
A notification issued by the commission stated, “The main examination for the posts of Revenue Inspector, Integrated Child Development Scheme supervisor, assistant revenue inspector and Amin and Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS) scheduled to be conducted by Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission from 1 August to 4 September stands cancelled”.
The alleged exam malpractice and paper leak in the OSSSC exam conducted from September 20 and to October 8 last year had sparked widespread protest from job aspirants who had moved the High Court seeking transparency in the conduct of the examination.
