Odisha BJP Reshuffles: New Morcha Chiefs, 37 District Heads Named
The Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled a major organisational reshuffle, appointing new presidents across seven morchas and naming 37 district in-charges.
The move, approved by State BJP President Manmohan Samal, is aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots presence ahead of upcoming political challenges in the state.
Among the key appointments:
- Avilash Panda as President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (Youth Wing)
- Dr Aishwarya Biswal as President of the Mahila Morcha (Women’s Wing)
- Shubhranshu Mohan Padhy as President of the Krushak Morcha (Farmers’ Wing)
- Kandera Soren as President of the ST Morcha (Tribal Wing)
- Baidhar Mallick as President of the SC Morcha (Scheduled Caste Wing)
- Pradyumna Nayak as President of the OBC Morcha (Other Backwards Classes Wing)
- Gurinder Singh as President of the Minority Morcha
In addition, the announcement of 37 district in-charges is expected to bolster the BJP’s organisational machinery across Odisha, ensuring stronger outreach and mobilisation at the local level.
Party insiders view this development as a strategic step to energise cadres and consolidate support among diverse communities, signalling the BJP’s intent to expand its influence in the state’s political landscape.
