Odisha Assembly in Turmoil Over SCB Hospital Deaths; House Adjourned Till 1 PM

The Odisha Legislative Assembly witnessed uproarious scenes today as opposition parties disrupted proceedings over the reported 13 deaths at SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Members of the Congress and BJD stormed the well of the House, demanding accountability and calling for the resignation of the Health Minister.

The chaos forced Speaker Pramila Mallick to adjourn the House until 1 PM, halting the scheduled Question Hour that was set to address issues from the Finance, Health, General Administration, and Electronics & IT departments.

Opposition leaders accused the government of negligence and demanded immediate action to ensure transparency and justice for the families of the deceased.

The incident has sparked a wider debate on healthcare infrastructure and accountability in Odisha, adding pressure on the ruling dispensation during the ongoing 17th Assembly session.
