Odisha Assembly Adjourned Amid Opposition Protest Over LPG Shortage

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly witnessed uproarious scenes today as opposition legislators stormed the well of the House, protesting against the acute shortage of LPG gas in the state.

Shouting slogans and waving placards, they accused the government of failing to address the crisis that has affected households across Odisha.

Speaker Surama Padhy repeatedly appealed for order, but the din forced her to adjourn proceedings until 11:30 am, cutting short the Question Hour.

The opposition demanded immediate intervention, alleging that the government’s inaction has worsened the plight of ordinary citizens.

The incident highlights growing political tension over essential commodities, with the opposition determined to hold the ruling party accountable for what they describe as a failure of governance.
