Bhubaneswar, July 24 (UNI) The Odisha Government today approved 23 new investment proposals worth Rs.4,982.66 crore, expected to generate 11,933 jobs across 12 districts in the state.
The proposals were cleared at the 138th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, as part of the state’s vision to
achieve a Samruddha Odisha by 2036.
The approvals span strategically important sectors such as Apparel & Textiles, Steel & Downstream Industries, Food & Beverages, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Power & Renewable Energy, IT & ITES, Tourism, and Aerospace & Defence, reflecting the government’s commitment to balanced regional development and sustainable industrialization.
In a boost to Odisha’s emerging textile ecosystem, KPR Mill Limited will invest Rs.350 crore in a large-scale garment manufacturing unit in Khordha, with an annual capacity of 46.8 million pieces, creating 5,000 jobs.
Vidya Minerals Pvt. Ltd. will set up a 0.21 MTPA integrated steel plant in Sundargarh at a cost of Rs.620 crore while Jatia Steel Limited will establish a steel structure unit in Jajpur with an investment of Rs.451.90 crore.
Additional projects from Amsted Steel Foundries, Mankash Enterprises, and Steelograph Ascenders will further strengthen the state’s downstream steel capabilities.
Hindustan Aqua Pvt. Ltd. will invest Rs.320 crore to establish a beverage manufacturing unit in Sundargarh. And Pragati Milk Products Pvt. Ltd. will develop a dairy facility in Balasore at a cost of Rs.114.34 crore.
Six premium hospitality projects worth Rs.479 crore will be developed in Puri, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, and Ganjam, reflecting Odisha’s focus on sustainable and luxury tourism.
BonV Technology Pvt. Ltd. will invest Rs.300 crore in a futuristic Drone Park in Khordha, featuring an integrated UAV ecosystem for R&D, manufacturing, and training, positioning Odisha as a pioneer in drone technology in India.
Similarly, the Ecodynamix Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. will set up a 30 MW solar power plant in Bargarh at a cost of Rs.100 crore.
Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. plans to establish a 1.2 GW solar cell and 1 GW solar PV module manufacturing unit at Gopalpur with an investment of Rs.950 crore.
Linde India will set up an Air Separation Unit in Sundargarh while Growing Tree Oil Refinery Pvt. Ltd. will establish a solvent extraction unit in Bargarh.
Synnat Pharma Pvt. Ltd. will invest Rs.100 crore in an API manufacturing unit in Cuttack.
Apmosys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. will establish a software development centre in Khordha with a proposed investment of Rs.65 crore.
The projects approved in this SLSWCA meeting underscore the state’s emphasis on job creation, value addition, and regionally inclusive growth.
