Odisha Agriculture Department Cracks Down on Posting Delays; Salary to Be Withheld for Defaulters

(OT Webdesk)In a decisive move to enforce administrative discipline, the Odisha Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment has issued a strict directive mandating all promoted and transferred officers to report to their new postings by August 31, 2025.

Principal Secretary Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee emphasised that government orders must be implemented without delay and warned that failure to comply will result in salary stoppage by previous establishments and disciplinary action.

The department also cautioned against attempts to seek undue influence to alter or delay posting orders, stating such actions will be dealt with sternly. Heads of directorates and field establishments have been tasked with monitoring compliance and reporting non-joining cases to ensure smooth functioning at the grassroots level.

This directive is part of a broader push to streamline governance and reinforce accountability across the agricultural administration.
