Bhubaneswar, April 15, 2025: In a significant move to bolster the state’s security infrastructure, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the creation of 2,500 additional home guard positions. This expansion will increase the total strength of home guards in Odisha from 17,675 to 20,175.
This initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to reinforcing law and order and ensuring safer communities. Furthermore, as part of a broader security enhancement plan, approximately 12,000 new positions will be created across various branches of the state police force.
