Odisha Accelerates Vision 2036 and 2047 Goals with Recruitment Drive and Development Push

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Anu Garg chaired a high-level meeting of secretaries at Kharabela Bhawan to review the two-year action plan under Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047.

The meeting emphasised aligning departmental priorities with the Chief Minister’s 15-point agenda and ensuring balanced development across all districts through the “36 for 36” initiative.

A major focus was on recruitment, with the state targeting 65,000 jobs by June 2026. So far, 39,500 appointments have been made through departmental processes and job fairs, while 34,641 vacancies are set to be filled via OPSC, OSSC, and OSSSC.

Garg directed departments to accelerate hiring and provide regular updates.

Departments were also urged to complete budget utilisation for 2025–26 by March, meet revenue targets, and incorporate proposals from MPs and MLAs.

Coordination with the General Administration and Public Grievance Department was stressed for effective monitoring.

The meeting was attended by Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Deoranjan Kumar Singh, along with senior officials from multiple departments.
