Odia Classical Language Day 2026: CM Majhi Urges Protection of Odia Language

Bhubaneswar: Odisha celebrated Odia Classical Language Day with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extending warm greetings to Odia‑speaking people across the globe.

In his message, Majhi described Odia as a language of pride and identity, rich in heritage and cultural depth.

He urged citizens to join hands in preserving and promoting the language, stressing that safeguarding Odia is essential to protecting traditions, culture, and collective heritage.

Majhi emphasised that the Odia language, recognised as one of India’s classical tongues, must continue to thrive through collective responsibility and pride.
