Nuapada: 7-Year-Old Boy Crushed by Tractor, Driver Detained
Nuapada district witnessed a heartbreaking incident on Thursday morning when a seven-year-old boy lost his life after being run over by a tractor in Baghmunda village under Bhela Panchayat, Komna police station limits.
The child, identified as Bulu Adbang, son of Atal Bihari Adbang, was playing near his house when a paddy-laden tractor sped through the road. The vehicle struck him from behind, killing him instantly.
Police from Komna station rushed to the spot, seized the tractor, and detained the driver for questioning. Authorities confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
The shocking death has left the local community in grief. Residents expressed concern over reckless driving in the area and urged officials to enforce stricter safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
