No Entry After 10 AM: CBSE Tightens Rules for Class 10 & 12 Board Exams
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced strict entry guidelines for the upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, beginning tomorrow.
Students must reach their exam centres by 10:00 AM sharp. After this time, gates will be closed, and latecomers will not be permitted entry under any circumstances.
The exams will commence at 10:30 AM, but CBSE has emphasised that the 30‑minute buffer is crucial for seating arrangements, distribution of papers, and ensuring smooth conduct.
School principals have been instructed to inform parents and students about the new rule and advise them to leave home early to avoid delays caused by traffic congestion, weather conditions, or unforeseen events.
This year, more than 46 lakh students are expected to appear for the board exams nationwide, making punctuality and discipline essential for managing such a large scale.
CBSE officials clarified that the move is aimed at maintaining fairness and minimising disruptions during one of the most important academic milestones for students.
