No Darshan at Puri Temple from 2:30–6:30 PM on July 24

PURI(OT Webdesk): The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has announced a temporary suspension of public darshan at the revered Puri Srimandir on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

The suspension coincides with the observance of Chitalagi Niti, a sacred ritual performed annually on Shravan Krushna Amavasya.

According to temple authorities, darshan will be halted from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM to facilitate the ceremonial adornment of divine headgear for the deities.

This tradition, steeped in spiritual significance, reflects the deep cultural heritage of the Jagannath Temple.

Devotees are advised to plan their visit accordingly and stay updated through official SJTA channels.

The administration has expressed gratitude for the public’s cooperation and reverence during this auspicious occasion.
