NIC-Odisha Honoured with Excellence in Digital Governance Award for DEPMOS Project

Bhubaneswar, Dec 14: The National Informatics Centre (NIC) of Odisha has been conferred with the prestigious “Excellence in Digital Governance” award for its pioneering DEPMOS project.

The Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing – Online Services (DEPMOS) is an e-Governance initiative launched by the Government of Odisha and developed by NIC to digitise and streamline services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

By automating critical processes such as registration, rate contracts, and inspections, DEPMOS has significantly improved service delivery, reduced turnaround times, and enhanced transparency in government procurement and marketing.

The award was presented at the 19th Digital Transformation Conclave & Awards by Major General Shri Manjeet Singh, SM, Joint Secretary (Cyber) at the National Security Council Secretariat, Government of India, alongside Manas Ranjan Panda, Managing Director of OCAC and Special Secretary of the Electronics & IT Department, Odisha.

Mohammed Mojibullah Khan, Director of IT at NIC Odisha, accepted the honour on behalf of the team.

This recognition underscores Odisha’s commitment to innovation and transformation in digital governance, setting a benchmark for other states in leveraging technology to empower MSMEs and strengthen citizen services.
