New Shree Jagannath Temple Committee Meets CM Majhi, Pledges to Elevate Puri’s Spiritual Legacy

Bhubaneswar, Sept 1 — Members of the newly constituted Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan today, marking a pivotal moment in the temple’s administrative evolution.

The delegation expressed gratitude for the committee’s formation and discussed plans to streamline temple rituals and festivals. The meeting also focused on accelerating Puri’s transformation into a premier religious and tourist destination.

CM Majhi assured full government support for both temple services and city development.

He emphasised ongoing efforts to position Puri as India’s leading spiritual hub, with enhanced infrastructure and amenities for devotees.

Committee members present included Shri Krushnachandra Samantaray (Suara Mahasabha), Shri Raghubir Das (Mathadhish), Shri Ramnarayan Ghochhikar (Pratihari Nijog), Shri Madhusudan Singhari (Pushpalak Nijog), and Shri Jagannath Pujapanda.

The meeting signals a renewed commitment to preserving the sanctity of Shree Mandir while embracing modern governance and tourism strategies.
