Bhubaneswar, May 17 (OT Webdesk): A state-level seminar on the theme “NCC – A Force Multiplier in Nation Building” was successfully conducted today at the OUAT Auditorium, Bhubaneswar. Organised by NCC Group Headquarters Bhubaneswar on behalf of NCC Directorate Odisha, the event witnessed an inspiring blend of experience, vision, and youthful energy.
The Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, who graced the inaugural session as Chief Guest, addressed the audience with an impassioned message on the role of NCC in shaping the character and commitment of India’s youth. He applauded NCC’s journey since its establishment in 1948, describing it as a cornerstone of youth development and national unity.
For over seven decades, the National Cadet Corps has had a profound impact on the youth of the nation, instilling in them values of discipline, leadership, selfless service, and patriotism. Generations of cadets have gone on to serve society in distinguished roles across the civil, military, and administrative domains. This seminar, bringing together seasoned voices and vibrant cadets, is poised to become a torchbearer for the youth of Odisha, encouraging them to embrace their role in shaping the future of the state and the nation.
The seminar brought together decorated veteran officers from the Armed Forces, senior administrators, academicians and experts who interacted with cadets and Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), sharing insights on leadership, discipline, civic responsibility, and nation-building.
Over 1000 cadets and dignitaries from across Odisha participated in the seminar, making it a resounding success.
Colonel Satyabrata Swain, Director NCC Odisha and Chief Organiser of the seminar, delivered the closing address, thanking all guests, speakers, and participants. He reaffirmed NCC’s enduring mission to nurture empowered, responsible, and service-oriented citizens for the country.
The event reaffirmed the spirit of NCC as a force for positive transformation in society and a vital pillar of India’s youth development framework.
