Naveen Patnaik to Campaign in Nuapada, Revives “Aapana Mane Khusi ta” Slogan Amid Political Tensions

Nuapada, Odisha — BJD president and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik is set to campaign in Komna, Nuapada Assembly constituency on November 3, marking a strategic return to the political frontline in western Odisha.

In a video message released by his office, Patnaik reignited his iconic 2019 slogan “Aapana mane khusi ta?”, a phrase that once resonated deeply with voters across the state.

His visit comes at a time of heightened political tension. The BJD Youth and Students’ wings recently staged protests in Nuapada, accusing the District Collector and Superintendent of Police of acting as “star campaigners of the BJP.” These allegations have stirred controversy and raised concerns about administrative neutrality.

Senior BJD leader Lekhasri Samantsinghar, speaking from Bhubaneswar, urged the district administration to uphold democratic values and maintain impartiality during the election process.

She emphasised that public trust in institutions must be preserved.

Observers anticipate that Patnaik’s speech in Komna may address these concerns directly, potentially reshaping the narrative ahead of the polls.

His calm demeanour and strategic messaging are expected to energise the BJD base and reassert the party’s presence in the region.
