Naveen Patnaik Thanks PM Modi, Kharge & Ministers for Support During Health Recovery
Bhubaneswar, August 20 (OT Webdesk)— Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and Leader of the Opposition in Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, has publicly thanked several prominent leaders for their concern following his recent hospitalisation due to dehydration.
Taking to the social media platform X, Patnaik extended heartfelt appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who personally called to wish him a speedy recovery. “Thank you, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji for calling to inquire about my health and wishing speedy recovery,” Patnaik posted.
The former Chief Minister also acknowledged calls and visits from other senior leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Odisha PCC President Bhakta Charan Das, and former Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan. Ministers Prithiviraj Harichandan and Mukesh Mahaling visited Patnaik during his hospital stay, prompting personal thank-you calls from the BJD chief.
Patnaik’s gesture of cross-party acknowledgement has been widely appreciated, reflecting a rare moment of unity and goodwill in Odisha’s political landscape.
