
Naveen Patnaik Discharged After Dehydration Treatment, Thanks Supporters and Medical Team
Bhubaneswar, August 20,(OT Webdesk) — Former Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik has been discharged from SUM Ultimate Medicare after receiving treatment for dehydration.
The 78-year-old leader, currently serving as Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, was admitted on August 17 following complaints of uneasiness.
In a video message released on August 18, Patnaik expressed heartfelt gratitude to the hospital staff and his supporters: “The staff and doctors of the hospital here are taking wonderful care of me.
Thank you for your kind wishes. If you want to see me, you are welcome to come to Naveen Niwas.”
His discharge today marks a successful recovery, bringing relief to his party members and well-wishers across the state. Patnaik returned directly to his residence, Naveen Niwas, where he is expected to resume light engagements.
The update follows a wave of concern and support from national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had earlier sent wishes for Patnaik’s speedy recovery.
