Naveen Patnaik Birthday 2025: CM Majhi’s Wishes, Public Events, and BJD Padayatra

Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended warm birthday greetings to BJD President and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday morning.

In a rare display of political courtesy, Majhi personally called Patnaik and later posted a heartfelt message in Odia on X, praying to Lord Jagannath for his long and healthy life.

Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik also joined the chorus of well-wishers, posting his greetings on social media and wishing Pattnaik continued good health and longevity.

This year’s birthday marks a significant moment for Patnaik, one of India’s longest-serving chief ministers, as he returns to public engagements after a six-month hiatus.

He is scheduled to visit SOS Village in Bhubaneswar to distribute sweets and interact with children. Later in the day, he will join the BJD’s ongoing ‘Jansampark Padayatra’ in Ekamra Bhubaneswar, energizing party workers and reconnecting with grassroots supporters.

The BJD’s padayatra, launched on the birth anniversary of Utkalamani Pandit Gopabandhu Das, is a month-long outreach campaign aimed at highlighting the achievements of Patnaik’s previous administration while critiquing the current BJP-led government. The initiative spans every ward, block, and constituency across Odisha.

Social media platforms have been flooded with messages of admiration and gratitude for Patnaik, celebrating his enduring legacy and contributions to Odisha’s development. The cordial exchange between Majhi and Patnaik has been widely appreciated as a symbol of political civility in the state.
