Mystery Shrouds Sudden Death of Newlywed in Ganjam
A newlywed woman, Pooja Behera of Ramachandrapur village, died under mysterious circumstances on the fourth night of her marriage in Kendubadi village, Ganjam district.
Pooja had married Bipin Jena on February 20, 2026. On February 24, she reportedly fell ill, collapsed, and was rushed to Khallikote Community Health Centre, where doctors declared her dead.
Khallikote police seized the body and sent it for a post‑mortem. Officers, including IIC Ramesh Kumar Pradhan and SI Manasi Sahu, visited the village to investigate.
While no written complaint has been lodged by her family, the incident has left the community in shock.
Police stated that further details will emerge after the post‑mortem report and inquiry.
