Bhubaneswar, June 10, ( OT Webdesk) – Former India captain MS Dhoni has achieved yet another milestone in his illustrious cricketing career.
On Monday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) officially inducted Dhoni into its Hall of Fame, recognising his immense contributions to the sport.
Dhoni, widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketing leaders, becomes the 11th Indian cricketer to receive this prestigious honour.
His induction places him among cricketing icons such as Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, and Sachin Tendulkar.
Expressing his gratitude, Dhoni said, “It is an honour to be named in the ICC Hall of Fame. To have my name remembered among cricket’s all-time greats is something I will cherish forever.”
Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in August 2020, led India to victory in all three ICC white-ball trophies:
- 2007 ICC T20 World Cup
- 2011 ICC ODI World Cup
- 2013 ICC Champions Trophy
Throughout his career, Dhoni played 350 ODIs, amassing 10,773 runs at an average of 50.57. His leadership, composure under pressure, and ability to finish games earned him the title “Captain Cool.”
Dhoni joins an elite list of Indian cricket legends inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, which includes:

With Dhoni’s induction, the ICC Hall of Fame now consists of 115 members, celebrating cricketers who have significantly shaped the game.
