Mother Demands FIR in Probe of Humane Sagar’s Mysterious Death

Cuttack — In a dramatic turn of events, Sephali Suna, mother of celebrated Odia playback singer Humane Sagar, has filed a formal complaint at Markat Nagar Police Station, urging authorities to register an FIR and launch a comprehensive investigation into her son’s untimely demise.

Suna alleges foul play, citing possible poisoning, criminal negligence, or abetment linked to marital discord and external pressures.

She accuses Sagar’s wife, Shreya Mishra, of harassment through “baseless allegations” and media campaigns that deepened family rifts and denied the singer access to his daughter.

Her eight‑page complaint calls for police to examine CCTV footage from Sagar’s residence, seize digital devices for forensic analysis, trace financial transactions, and review medical records spanning four years.

She also names Mishra’s family, Dr Subhendu Mishra, Arpita Choudhury, and Somesh Satpathy as individuals who should be scrutinised for potential motives tied to money, property, and evidence tampering.

Copies of the complaint have been forwarded to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

While police confirmed receipt, they have yet to announce a timeline for action. Meanwhile, speculation and conspiracy theories continue to swirl across social media, amplifying public demand for clarity in the case.
