MLA Laxman Bagh Alleges Death Threat at Kantabanji Station

Kantabanji MLA Laxman Bagh has alleged that he received a death threat while visiting the Kantabanji railway station on Wednesday night.

According to Bagh, he was at the station during the Visakhapatnam–Korba Link Express schedule to meet a friend when he encountered over 50 passengers preparing to travel to Hyderabad and Vijayawada for migrant work. Concerned about the migration issue, he immediately informed the task force, Railway Protection Force, and local police.

At that time, Bagh claimed, Mohammad Imran Khan alias Bunty, Bunty Behera, and six others confronted him, hurled abusive language, and threatened to kill him.

The MLA has filed a written complaint with the Government Railway Police (GRP). Kantabanji GRP officer Makaru Sahu confirmed that the complaint has been forwarded to senior officials in Titlagarh for further action.

Bagh, who has consistently raised concerns about migration and local development in his constituency, said the incident underscores the challenges faced in addressing regional issues. He demanded strict action against those involved.
