Jagatsinghpur, (OT webdesk) — In a horrifying case that has shaken the region, a minor girl was allegedly gangraped multiple times by two brothers and an accomplice under Kujang police limits.
The accused—Bhagyadhar Das, Panchanan Das, and Tulu Babu—reportedly assaulted the girl over a prolonged period, resulting in a five-month pregnancy.
Upon discovering her condition, the perpetrators allegedly attempted to bury her alive to conceal the crime. The attempt was thwarted, and the girl was rescued in time.
Two of the accused, who were employed at a local mutt, have been arrested. One remains absconding, with police launching a manhunt.
The survivor is currently undergoing medical treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital.
The case was registered following a complaint by the victim’s father at Kujang Police Station. Authorities have yet to release a detailed statement, and investigations are ongoing.
