MCL commits Rs 2.41 crores for nutritional support to TB patients

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8 (UNI) Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, reinforcing its commitment towards public health and community welfare, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the District Administration of Jharsuguda to provide Rs 2.41 crore nutritional food baskets to tuberculosis (TB) patients, the Central Public Sector Enterprise said in a statement today.

MCL, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has pledged Rs 2.41 crore to provide for 2,440 food baskets to TB patients and their family members every month for a period of one year under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukta Bharat Abhiyan in Jharsuguda district.

The MoU was exchanged between Ainul Huda, Deputy Manager (Corporate Social Responsibility), MCL, and Mahesh Mohan Panda, Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer, Jharsuguda.

MCL continues its commitment towards the well-being of the community through meaningful and sustained CSR initiatives and appreciates the support of Jharsuguda District Administration in executing this important project, added the CPSE officials.
