Jharsuguda, Odisha — Panic gripped the area near Jharsuguda Airport on Monday after a massive fire broke out close to the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) depot.
The blaze, which erupted in the afternoon, quickly spread across the vicinity, raising concerns due to its proximity to critical infrastructure.
Authorities rushed to the scene, deploying five fire engines — two from the fire department, two from the airport, and one from Vedanta.
Firefighters battled the flames for over four hours, managing to bring the situation partially under control.
