Maoist Leader Rajita Rejects Surrender, Vows to Continue Armed Struggle

In a defiant statement, Maoist leader Rajita has categorically refused to surrender to authorities, asserting that the armed struggle will continue despite government deadlines.

As secretary of the MADC division, Rajita declared that sacrifices made by comrades would not be in vain and warned of violence against those obstructing their movement.

The Odisha government has set March 31 as the deadline for Maoists to join the mainstream, offering rehabilitation packages and support.

However, Rajita dismissed these offers, labelling surrendered cadres as cowards and reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to its cause.

Her press note has sparked widespread debate across Odisha, underscoring the challenges faced by officials in persuading Maoist groups to abandon armed resistance and reintegrate into society.
