Manipal Health Enterprises to Set Up Rs 700 Cr Hospital at Nagpur in Maharashtra

Mumbai, August 13 (OT Webdesk): Manipal Hospitals, one of India’s leading healthcare providers, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to establish a state-of-the-art, 350-bed multi-speciality hospital in Nagpur. This significant partnership aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure and accessibility in the region.

The proposed hospital will represent an investment of approximately Rs 700 crore and is expected to create around 3,000 new jobs. The MoU was signed in Mumbai, with the Government of Maharashtra pledging to facilitate all necessary permits, approvals, and fiscal incentives to ensure the project’s timely completion. The hospital is scheduled to open in 2029, marking a significant advancement in healthcare development and providing high-quality medical services to the residents of Nagpur and surrounding areas.

Commenting on the announcement, Dilip Jose, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Hospitals, stated, “I would like to thank the Government of Maharashtra for their support and for entrusting us with this opportunity to serve the people of the state. Additionally, the new hospital in Nagpur will offer a comprehensive range of specialised departments, including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, and oncology services, among others.
