Man remanded to jail for raping minor niece
Kendrapara, Sep 18 (UNI) A 53-year-old man has been arrested for raping his 13-year-old niece under Nikirai police limits in Kendrapara district and remanded to judicial custody.
The accused, Abhimanyu Nayak (53), was booked under Sections 64(2), 65(1)(f), 351(2)(3), 296 of the BNS and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
According to police, Nayak took advantage of the girl when she was alone at home.
Police said both the accused and the victim were sent for medical examination.
Abhimanyu was produced before the Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (POCSO), Kendrapara, who remanded him to jail custody,” Investigating Officer Yudhistir Sahoo said today.
