Authorities confirmed the arrests were made following evidence gathered during ongoing investigations.
District officials reported that the situation in violence‑affected areas is gradually stabilising, with essential services such as electricity and drinking water fully restored.
However, security remains tight at sensitive locations to prevent any recurrence of unrest.
Despite signs of normalcy, the administration extended the internet suspension across the district until 12 noon on Monday, citing precautionary measures against misinformation.
Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) have been withdrawn, offering relief to residents previously restricted in movement.
The district administration estimated damages at approximately Rs .80 crore, affecting both public and private property.
Officials urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement and maintain peace to ensure the complete restoration of normal life in Malkangiri.
