Majhi announces Rs 10 Lakh ex-gratia for families of Odia workers killed in fire in Sigachi Pharma company

Bhubaneswar, July 4 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for each of the families of Odia workers killed in the fire incident at Sigachi Pharma Company in Sangareddy district of Telangana on July 1.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), eight workers were killed in the tragic fire.

The deceased have been identified as Rajnala Jagan Mohan, Lagnajit Duari, Manoj Rout, Daogobinda Sahu, Chaitu Batra, Ramesh Giud, and Sidharth Gouda.

The Odisha government has deputed two officers to Telangana to assist and support the affected families.

Dr. Chandra Shekhar Hota and Pritish Kumar Panda have already reached the site and are coordinating with the Sangareddy district administration to extend all possible help to the Odia workers.

The officials had visited the injured workers in the hospital and are providing all necessary support, including ensuring appropriate medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Odisha Family Affairs has made arrangements to repatriate the bodies of the deceased to Odisha and is coordinating all necessary assistance for their bereaved families, official sources said.
