Bhadrak, ( OT Webdesk) – A massive fire broke out in Saramara village, Odanga Panchayat, under the Bonth block of Bhadrak district, after an LPG cylinder leak led to a devastating explosion.
The incident, occurring late at night, reduced seven rooms to ashes, destroying household items, furniture, clothing, and even a motorcycle.
Residents were taken by surprise as the flames spread rapidly, consuming everything in sight before anyone could react. Fortunately, there were no casualties, though the financial loss is expected to be significant.
Upon receiving reports, the local fire brigade rushed to the scene, battling the intense flames. They managed to bring the fire under control, but by then, most of the belongings had already been incinerated.
Authorities are now investigating the root cause of the gas leak, urging locals to exercise caution while handling LPG cylinders to prevent similar disasters in the future.
