Koraput District in Odisha has added another feather to its cap by winning the esteemed Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024. This accolade, recognizing the district’s achievements in the category of ‘Holistic Development of Districts,’ was presented during the Civil Services Day celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on April 21, 2025.
The award was received by V. Keerthi Vasan, the Collector and District Magistrate of Koraput, from the Prime Minister of India himself. Under Vasan’s leadership, Koraput has made tremendous strides in governance, focusing on inclusive developmental policies, enhancing social infrastructure, and fostering economic growth.
