Koraput Coffee & OMFED Café Launched in New Delhi by Odisha CM Majhi
Sept 4: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the OMFED & Koraput Coffee Café at Odisha Niwas in New Delhi today, marking a strategic push to promote the state’s agricultural and cultural heritage on a national platform.
The café will serve premium dairy products from OMFED (Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation) and aromatic coffee sourced from the tribal hills of Koraput.
Designed to appeal to urban consumers, the initiative aims to boost brand visibility for Odisha’s indigenous offerings while empowering local producers.
“Koraput Coffee is not just a beverage—it’s a symbol of Odisha’s biodiversity and tribal resilience,” CM Majhi said during the launch. He emphasised the role of cooperatives like OMFED in ensuring quality and driving inclusive development.
The café is expected to enhance tourism, create new market linkages, and offer Delhi residents a taste of authentic Odisha.
It also aligns with broader efforts to support tribal communities through sustainable economic opportunities.
