Khordha Lok Adalat 2026: Over 50,000 Cases Settled, ₹18.55 Crore Realized
Bhubaneswar successfully organised the first Lok Adalat of 2026 across all judicial and revenue courts in Khordha district. In a single day, 88,694 cases were presented, of which 50,962 were settled amicably, generating Rs18.55 crore in revenue, fines, and compromise amounts.
The settled cases included 5,323 civil and criminal matters, 45,245 revenue disputes, and 394 pre‑litigation cases.
Issues resolved ranged from compoundable criminal cases, cheque bounce disputes, bank recovery and loan defaults, to motor accident claims, labour disputes, traffic challans, matrimonial issues, land acquisition, and unpaid utility bills.
District and Sessions Judge Biranchi Narayan Mohanty, Chairman of Khordha DLSA, congratulated judicial officers, revenue officials, bank managers, telecom and insurance authorities, and advocates for their contributions.
He emphasised the importance of advance preparations for the upcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled on May 9, 2026.
