Key Meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan: NITI Aayog and Odisha Govt Chart Future Growth

A high-level meeting was held today at Lok Seva Bhavan between Odisha Chief Secretary and the CEO of NITI Aayog, focusing on six critical areas of development.

The discussions centred on creating an integrated economic region covering Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, and Paradip.

The meeting also reviewed Odisha’s Vision 2036 and Vision 2047, with a committee to be formed under the Chief Secretary’s chairmanship to drive long-term strategies.

For tribal development, a dedicated plan has already been prepared, with responsibility assigned to “Satwa.”

Employment generation and skilling were highlighted as key priorities.

A NITI Aayog team recently visited the World Skill Centre and several colleges to assess opportunities for expanding job creation.

Renewable energy and green growth also emerged as major focus areas, with plans underway to boost clean energy initiatives through a separate committee.

This meeting marks a significant step in aligning Odisha’s long-term vision with national development goals, emphasising economic integration, social inclusion, and sustainability.
