Keonjhar Youth Burnt Alive in House Fire
A devastating fire broke out late Thursday night in Bada Danda Sahi, Anandpur of Keonjhar district, claiming the life of a young man.
The victim, identified as Devendra Mishra, was living alone when flames engulfed his house.
Locals and relatives rushed to douse the fire but were unable to save him.
Fire Services personnel later arrived and managed to control the blaze, only to recover Devendra’s charred remains.
Relatives suspect that an unattended beedi may have triggered the fire, as Devendra was known to smoke regularly.
Police have launched an investigation to confirm the cause. The body has been sent for post‑mortem examination.
