Kendrapara AEE Arrested in Disproportionate Assets Case
Odisha Vigilance has arrested Pramod Kumar Ray, Assistant Executive Engineer of Derabish Irrigation Sub‑Division under Kendrapara Irrigation Division, for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Ray was taken into custody after raids revealed extensive holdings, including two multi‑storeyed buildings in Bhubaneswar and Choudwar, two plots of land, cash worth Rs 4.48 lakh, and bank deposits totalling Rs 39.21 lakh.
Investigators noted that Ray failed to provide satisfactory explanations for these assets.
He will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018.
Officials emphasised that this arrest is part of Odisha Vigilance’s ongoing drive to curb corruption and ensure transparency in public service.
