Bike hit by pickup truck, father, son dead, mother and daughter critically
Bhawanipatna, September 22: A father and son of a family from Terlo village died on the spot, while the mother and daughter are battling for their lives after a bike hit a pickup truck head-on near garra pada,Deheli under Narla police station in Kalahandi district.
On Monday, Budh Barik (35), son Arab (10) and mother and daughter of Terlo village of Balsinga gram panchayat under Narla block were coming on a bike from Narla. It is learnt that the bike rider father Budh Barik and Arab lost their lives at the scene of the incident when a pickup van moving at a fast speed hit the bike.
Since the mother and daughter sitting in the middle were in critical condition, the locals brought them to Narla hospital through an ambulance. However, the injured were in reffered and admitted to the district headquarters bhawanipatna hospital as they were in critical condition.
Narla police reached the spot and seized the pickup van in which the accident took place and brought it to the police station. Meanwhile, aggrieved people and their families have blocked the road demanding compensation.
