Bhubaneswar, Apr 15 (UNI) The Odisha government has decided to continue the interest-free loan scheme for women self-help groups in the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi approved this proposal on Tuesday. Majhi had earlier continued this interest-free loan scheme till 31st March 2025.

However, on Tuesday the Chief Minister approved the proposal to continue it for the financial year 2025-26 and subsequent years.

With this, women’s self-help groups can take loans up to Rs 10 lakh without interest.

Majhi said that this step will help create more women entrepreneurs and millionaires in the state. This will also strengthen the rural and urban economies through women’s participation, he stated.
