Indonesian Gallery at Odisha State Maritime Museum refurbished

Bhubaneswar, Aug 16 (UNI) The Indonesian Gallery at the Odisha State Maritime Museum (OSMM), located on the right bank of the Mahanadi River at Jobra, Cuttack, has been refurbished with enhanced lighting, improved signage, and upgraded artifact preservation facilities.

The refurbished gallery was inaugurated today by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to India, Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi, along with Odisha Development Commissioner Anu Garg.
The gallery, which showcases valuable artifacts reflecting centuries-old maritime and cultural ties between Odisha and Indonesia, has been further enriched through the renovation.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Krisnamurthi expressed her delight at the warm reception in Odisha and remarked that the renovated gallery stands as a true tribute to the deep and historic bonds between Odisha and Indonesia.

Development Commissioner Anu Garg appreciated the continued support of the Indonesian Embassy in strengthening cultural ties.

She also emphasized the need for further modernization to enhance visitors’ experiences and expressed interest in pursuing more collaborative initiatives with Indonesia and other ASEAN
nations in the future.
