New Delhi, May 7, 2025 (OT  Webdesk): In response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Air Force launched a series of strategic airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (Pok) and Pakistan.

The operation, dubbed “Operation Sindoor,” targeted nine high-profile locations associated with terrorist leaders Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.

According to initial reports, more than 50 terrorists were eliminated in the precision attacks. The Indian government swiftly informed world leaders, including the U.S., Russia, and the U.K., about its decisive action against terrorism

In response, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for an emergency meeting, signalling heightened tensions in the region.

The Indian armed forces continue to reinforce national security measures, with countrywide preparedness drills scheduled in the coming days.

Officials have emphasised that the operation sends a clear and firm message: any attack on Indian soil will be met with unwavering retaliation.
