( OT Webdesk)In a significant show of solidarity, Air India and Air India Express have unveiled a special travel policy aimed at aiding India’s armed forces personnel.
The new initiative, announced recently via social media, allows defence personnel to reschedule their flights free of charge and receive full refunds on cancellations.
The policy applies to tickets booked under special defence fares until May 31, 2025, with a one-time waiver for rescheduling up to June 30, 2025.
This move comes in the wake of India’s missile and drone operations targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
By ensuring service members have flexibility in their travel plans, the airlines demonstrate their commitment to easing logistical concerns for the forces engaged in critical missions.
The gesture has been widely appreciated, highlighting the airline industry’s role in supporting the nation’s defence personnel during turbulent times.
