
Indian Railways Launches Patna–Puri Weekly Puja Special Train to Ease Festive Travel
(OT Webdesk)To accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the upcoming Puja season, Indian Railways has announced a Weekly Puja Special Train service between Patna and Puri.
The initiative aims to provide a seamless and inclusive travel experience for devotees heading to the sacred Jagannath Temple and tourists exploring Odisha’s cultural heritage.
The Patna–Puri–Patna Weekly Puja Special (Train Nos. 03230/03229) will operate every Thursday from Patna starting August 28 to December 25, 2025, and every Friday from Puri from August 29 to December 26, 2025.
The train features a diverse coach composition including Second AC, Third AC, Sleeper Class, and Divyangjan-friendly facilities.
Covering major stations across Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha, the train will halt at key junctions such as Asansol, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, and Cuttack, ensuring accessibility for thousands of festive travellers.
This seasonal service underscores Indian Railways’ commitment to affordable, inclusive, and culturally significant travel during one of India’s most celebrated festivals.
