Prashant Tamang, the celebrated winner of Indian Idol Season 3, has tragically passed away at the age of 43 following a heart attack at his residence in Delhi.

Before his rise to fame, Tamang served with the Kolkata Police and performed in the police orchestra. Encouraged by his seniors, he auditioned for Indian Idol and went on to win the title, capturing hearts across India.
His debut album with Sony BMG featured songs in Hindi and Nepali, cementing his place in the industry.
Tamang later transitioned into acting, starring in Nepali films and showcasing his versatility as both a singer and actor.
Most recently, he appeared in Paatal Lok 2, where his portrayal of villain Daniel Lecho earned widespread acclaim.
